GAME SUMMARY

Our first home last night, was against the bulldogs from Cedarburg.  For our season opener at home, it was an AWESOME way to begin, with a WIN!!!  The evening began with an awesome second place finish by the ‘A’ 200 medley team: Miller, Howell, Biskobing and M. Huebner with their best time, 1:52.39; followed by the ‘B’ team: Tumey, Hadacek, Norman and Roller finishing third place with their best time, 2:04.79!  In the 200 freestyle event, Biskobing had an outstanding finish out-touching his opponent for the first place win!  His time was 2:03.90.  Sharbuno (2:07.71) was right behind finishing third and Huegerich (2:09.73 – a personal best time for him by 1 second!) finished fifth place.  In the 200 IM, Miller (2:17.83) was all business finishing an awesome first place!  Hadacek (2:35.89 – a personal best time for him by 1 second!) was right behind finishing fourth place and Tumey (2:40.11 – a personal best time for him by 3 seconds!) right behind him finishing fifth place!  M. Huebner (25.62) also meant business in his 50 freestyle, he came to win; and win he did!  Norman (26.43) finished an awesome third place and Howell (26.92) a great fourth place!   Theis (204.70 – a season best point total for him!) took first in diving with Schmidt (188.65 – a season best point total for him!) finished second and Friede – a newcomer to the sport – took third with his points 156.20, a season best point total for him!  Biskobing (58.92 – a personal best time for him!) had another exceptional swim in the 100 butterfly again out-touching his opponent for first place!  It was a 2-3-4 finish for us in the 100 freestyle event!  Roller (57.67 – a personal best time for him by 2 seconds!) finished second, M. Huebner (57.70 – a personal best time for him by 1 second!) finished third and Huegerich (58.11 – a personal best time for him!) finished fourth place, great swims guys!  Sharbuno (5:49.70) earned his team some points with his awesome second place finish in the 500 freestyle; Meier (6:25.37 – a personal best time for him by 9 seconds!) finished fourth place and has really been working hard this season, and W. Roller (6:53.37) finished fifth place!  The 200 ‘A’ freestyle team: Biskobing, M. Huebner, W. Roller, and Miller had an AWESOME first place finish winning by just one one-hundredth of a second!  Their best time was 1:39.63!  The 200 ‘B’ freestyle team: Howell, Sharbuno, Hadacek and Huegerich had an awesome third place finish with their best time, 1:47.85!  Miller (1:01.81 – a season best time for him by 1 second!) was up again to swim the 100 backstroke and he finished first!  Norman (1:08.17 – a personal best time for him by 3 seconds!) finished an awesome second place and Tumey (1:11.01 – a personal best time for him by 2 seconds right behind finishing fourth place! Howell (1:20.73) came through for us in the 1-00 breaststroke finishing second place, Orvis (1:22.07 – a personal best time for him!) finished fourth place and Hadacek (1:23.50) finished fifth place!   The last event, the 400 freestyle relay, was another great event for the relay team: Sharbuno, Huegerich, Tumey and Norman; they finished an awesome second place with their time, 4:37.33!  It was a great meet, to begin our home meets with a WIN!!!  These boys are working really hard and a few wins along the way always helps to boost morale!  Especially against Cedarburg, when a dual meet win hasn’t happened against them in at least 25-30 years!  Onto Conference relays next Tuesday!
