The Varsity boys' Tennis team took on Howards Grove for the first meet of the season. The Pirates came prepared and played strong competitive matches. Team wins came from 1 singles Aaron Montreal (6-1,6-0) against Chase Williams; 3 singles Jake Schmit (6-0,6-0) against Matilde Grato; 4 singles Wyatt Roller (6-0, 6-1) against Emily Waters. Double wins emerged from 1 doubles Thomas Garant/Neil Schlessinger (7-6(7), 7-6(7), 10-3) against Tyler Dvoracheck/Zach Zieglbauer; 2 doubles Matt Huebner/Skylar Shafer (7-6(7), 6-0) against Anc Jump/Austin Patski; and 3 doubles Tanner Sauer/Shane McConahy (6-0, 6-1) against Hannah Elias/Ben Freolinch. 

The Pirates face Homestead on Thursday for the first conference match of the season.
